Vascular Quality Initiative (VQI) Performance Improvement Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with hospital and medical staff leaders to develop, measure, analyze and improve processes related to the VQI database. Use comparative data to measure and/or analyze performance and report information to the vascular surgery program for purposes of improvement and action steps. This position supports vascular surgery and maintains expertise and competence as the database administrator for this body of work. Along with leadership develop performance improvement plans to improve or enhance patient outcomes for vascular surgical patients. Leads strategic initiatives to grow and develop the vascular surgery program including marketing, community outreach, regional development, and physician relations.
EDUCATION AND SPECIFIC TRAINING:
Education Required: Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Medical Record Technology, Health Information Management or other similar health or business related field or equivalent experience and background in quality and performance improvement.
Education Preferred: Nurse Practitioner, master’s in nursing
License/Certification Preferred RN licensed in State of Ga
Special Skills Required:Public speaking, presentations
Experience Required: 3 or more years in healthcare field or similar related experience, training or experience in performance improvement/quality techniques and approaches, patient safety.
Experience Preferred: CPHQ (Certified Professional In Healthcare Quality), Nursing experience with multi-disciplinary surgical abstractions
