Financial Analyst - Loan Admin

Position Description:
Obtain a thorough understanding of Loan Processing departments’ processes, drivers, and key performance indicators to successfully develop and maintain long and short range financial models. Complete scenario based modeling to assist management in business decisions. Gather, analyze, and report data for key department drivers to identify and recommend areas of improvement. Liaise with Business Intelligence team and Business Unit management to develop on demand, automated reports to assess the success of the operations, as well as goal setting.

Review existing processes to understand business unit needs and issues.
Develop criteria for standardized departmental reports.
Review current reports in conjunction with processes, and recommend business unit specific reports for development.
Develop long and short range forecasting methods for various metrics, including operational drivers and staffing requirements, to be used in planning and goal setting.
Identify impacts to financial models due to economic and regulatory changes.
Create cost-benefit analysis to demonstrate the value of proposed process changes and business decisions.
Perform statistical analysis of business unit drivers and assumptions to identify trends and seasonality.
Communicate results regularly with management to recommend and confirm changes in assumptions to ensure accuracy of staffing requirements and integrity of long term forecasting.
Produce and provide regular reports of key drivers and performance indicators to management.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
Creativity, self-motivation, organization, attention to detail, inquisitiveness and outstanding problem-solving abilities
Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of management
Strong analytical and project management skills required
Aptitude to manage multiple projects simultaneously and a capacity to work in a deadline-driven environment
Ability to exercise discretion and judgment and make independent decisions is required
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Bachelor’s Degree in math related field with minimum GPA of 3.25 (Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, Finance, and Accounting)
