MidFirst Bank seeks a Director of Wealth Management to lead MidFirst’s Trust and Wealth Management group. The position will be responsible for managing a wealth management portfolio of $2 billion in assets, approximately 1,400 customers, and a team of 35 people. The portfolio is centered on providing wealth management and trust administration services for individuals and their families who seek custom designed financial solutions and planning, as well as providing services needed by foundations, endowments and non-profits. The bank assists clients with building, preserving and transferring wealth through exceptional portfolio performance and dependable fiduciary responsibility. The Director of Wealth Management will be accountable for delivering outstanding client experience while driving the Wealth Management group’s business planning and execution.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Recruit, retain, coach, and develop high level talent in all of the MidFirst markets.
Develop and execute strategy for growth of the Wealth Management portfolio.
Nurture partnerships with key internal MidFirst partners and external centers of influence.
Develop and manage comprehensive investment platform.
Provide detailed and consistent experience for each client.
Ensure that product and sales leaders at the bank are aligned around a focused strategy to serve MidFirst’s client base.
Increase revenue through client acquisition and broadening existing client relationships.
Manage regulatory issues by addressing areas of interest and working closely with the Legal, Risk and the Compliance groups.
Manage the day-to-day operations including accounting, reporting, and other recordkeeping processes.
Provide oversight of MidFirst Investment Services, the bank’s retail investment services unit.
Important Candidate Qualifications
10+ years of relevant relationship management and management experience in a successful Wealth Management group, preferably within a bank.
Ability to manage the Wealth Management group including setting the strategy, budget preparation and management, and compliance and talent management.
Ability to provide business and strategic advice and guidance at an executive level.
Effective negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
Proven ability to engage in industry affairs keeping up to date with statutory and regulatory requirements and standards.
Ability to build relationships and work effectively with relevant regulators.
Significant investment and risk management experience.
Ability to build, develop, motivate and delegate across a large geographical area with the ability to prioritize and focus functions on the more critical issues or projects and engage fully with the business units affected.
