The Associate assists in the underwriting of credits by spreading and analyzing financial statements for and on behalf of Silicon Valley Bank (SVB). The Associate prepares the underwriting documents for SVB’s Credit function, facilitates the booking process, and assures credit files comply with SVB’s policies and procedures. Associates will work with US based SVB Relationship Managers to resolve compliance related questions and inquiries. Associates handles a variety of routine credit documentation requirements in addition to reviewing noncompliance and past due status for assigned accounts. The Associate will also review financial information, collateral and other assets to help SVB to assess portfolio risk and profitability.

Once on board, the Associate must quickly gain a thorough knowledge of SVB’s bank operations and products.
Exposure to commercial lending or direct related experience is highly desirable.
Associates should be skilled with working complex transactions and have excellent credit analysis skills.
Associates should have proven experience within commercial banking or related experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
