Product Advisor II
Location: IRVINE, California

A Product Advisor II at SVB is responsible for driving revenue growth for the Global Treasury and Payment team in your assigned markets by providing client focused solutions. You will work to thoroughly understand your portfolio companies and prospects business model and then strategically analyze and position SVB’s US and International Cash Management solutions. You will collaborate closely with external and internal partners to architect scalable solutions for clients and prospects with a focus on SVB’s ACH, Credit Card and Global Merchant Services solutions. The ability to partner with SVB colleagues is critical to help you drive client friendly cross sell efforts to retain SVB customers. This role requires you to be a leader with vision in the Payment and Transaction space. By providing relevant insights you will become a trusted advisor for your client’s global treasury management requirements.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
Thoughtfully review your customer needs, perform cost benefit and risk analysis; recommend effective strategies; and negotiate pricing to optimize profitability of product or service solutions.

Be knowledgeable and position SVB’s full suite of domestic and international treasury management products and services including ACH, credit cards, merchant card acceptance and international solutions.

Develop sales strategies to meet sales and product penetration goals. Review client portfolios to resolve gaps in cash management products or opportunities to expand existing relationships.

Provide thought leadership to clients and colleagues for product features, enhancements and global treasury industry trends. Be recognized as trusted advisor in Payments products and services, including having your finger on the pulse of emerging technologies.

Effectively partner with Commercial Bank Market Managers in your territory to retain existing client base and support business development efforts.

Monitor and manage portfolio to identify and resolve risk factors and maintain a high level of client satisfaction.

Skills and Requirements:
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
5 or more years of related experience in global treasury management products and sales. Strong aptitude for payment and technology solutions. Once on board, you will be provided a thorough knowledge of SVB’s bank operations, platforms and products.

SKILLED IN CRAFTING EFFECTIVE CLIENT FACING AND INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS
Having the ability to work and think independently and strategically is critical. This is not a linear role. Strong organizational and time management skills are required, as multi-tasking and prioritization skills are critical to monitor and engage with the multiple projects and colleagues and your portfolio of clients.

Skilled in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint enabling you to download & sort information, look for analytic value and present ideas in a simple but effective format.

Background in data channels e.g. web, SFTP and API banking


EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

CTP and/or Cert ICM preferred.
