Tittle: Architect – Networks

Exp: 11-16 Years

Location: Pune / Bangalore

Responsibilities

Independently Provide Solutions, Plan and Implement complex solutions for SungardAS, Products and Complex Customers Environment.

Install and Manage/Maintain cost effective, operationally supportable solutions that meet complex customer requirements and SLAs.

Responsible for Business Continuity and Cloud Infrastructure Service Levels Agreements (SLAs)

Responsible for IOS Version upgrades, Device Upgrades, Hardware Replacements, Migrations, etc

Responsible for Data Center uptime, Migrations and other activities.

Provide technical assistance to all SungardAS Internal/External customers during environment outages.

Capacity Management, support customer recovery/BC tests. Participate in on-going lifecycle projects.

Follow and assist in maintaining detailed documentation including how-to, implementation procedures developed by senior level engineers, and any operations required documentation.

Participate in 24/7 on call duty after normal business hours, team rotation as level IV escalation path for Cloud Operations.

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment that is geographically dispersed

Provide direct operational support to different SungardAS’s team, maintaining ownership and a deep technical knowledge.

Responsible for working closely with other central operations technical teams and customer service teams.

Deliver end of the road support for complex environments and train junior engineers.

Perform weekly and monthly maintenance activity when required

Have a familiarity with environment resources being utilized by SungardAS customers. Use this information to assist in resolving environment issues or trouble shooting impairments.

Provide clear technical documentation and written ISO20000 procedures to ensure other members of Central Operations can assist in monitoring, troubleshooting and changing complex customer environments.

Attend training courses, perform self-study, metrics, and provide mentoring and in-house training to other members of the team.

 

 

Requirements

 

11 to 16 years industry experience in a Network Operations or Network Engineering role.

Good understanding & extensive hands-on relevant experience with configuring STP, RSTP, vSwitch, BGP, OSPF,  MPLS, Data Center, Nexus, Virtualization, Scripting.

Hands on experience in Upgrading core Network devices in Production Environment, Migrations, etc.

Strong Hands-on & Relevant experience on Juniper Router and Switches.

Good Understanding & Hands-on experience on Nexus 2K, 5K, 7K and 9K. Datacenter Technologies.

Exposure to ISP core network and transport technologies. Knowledge of DR environments and DR tests

Strong network problem isolation and resolutions skills required.

Very strong customer service and communications skills (written and oral) are required.

Must have the ability to lead and direct vendors to assist them in their efforts.

Strong interpersonal skills are a requirement, including successfully mentoring and operating in a multi-discipline and multi-national environment.

Hands-on VMware, Linux, Windows experience

Quick learner. Strong time management and organizational skill are required.

Must have the ability to effectively work in a team environment, as well as independently or as a self-starter.
