The Learning Specialist is an integral part of the Learning and Development team. General duties to include:

  • Designing, developing and creating training programs and materials to include ILT, e-learning modules, VILT and job aids
  • Strong facilitation skills for both ILT and vILT venues
  • Working with all phases of the talent cycle, including on-boarding, performance management, and development planning
  • Ability to elevate existing programs to ensure continued success
  • Analyzing training needs with customers to recommend, create or update training programs
  • Collaborating with diverse teams
  • Demonstrating strong organizational skills for self and others – potential to serve as project manager in many roles

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in training and development and/or organizational development, including curriculum design and development, and classroom instruction.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Learning & Development, or Education is required but will consider relevant experience if degree is obtained in other field
  • Demonstrated success in aspects of L&D including ILT, OJT, elearning and job aids
  • Demonstrated success using project management and prioritization skills with the ability to multi-task and adapt
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles

 

Preferred Qualities:

  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Experience with on-boarding and leadership programs
  • Ability to deliver effective training workshops through a variety of methods
  • Ability to develop and execute with some guidance
  • Ability to transfer learning activities to strategy and vision of organization
  • Self-directed and motivated to learn and grow
  • Knowledge of L&D current and emerging trends
  • Training experience in soft skills or technology skills
  • Experience with assessments such as StrengthFinder, MBTI or DiSC
  • Understanding of elearning authorware (e.g.; Captivate, Articulate)
