This is a role for an experienced and highly motivated full-stack web developer within our digital marketing team. The Web Developer needs to have expert-level knowledge of the Microsoft ASP.net framework to run all development activities on our global corporate marketing websites

 

Responsibilities:

1.       Own our Episerver-based website front end and back end development globally; liaise with agency supporting the platform

2.       Turn front end designs and user experience requirements produced by the digital marketing team into front/back end code that drives the website

3.       Contribute to requirements gathering and analysis activities such as storyboarding, developing use cases, and creating functional requirements specifications

4.       Manage Visual Studio codebase; Develop custom features based on specifications and technical designs

5.       Oversee code deployments to our different staging and production environments, working closely with CMS managed services team; Oversee code testing and quality assurance

6.       Work supportively with colleagues, operating in a collegiate manner at all times and in line with the Company’s values

 

Profile:

Web front end and back end development -Essential

 

The .NET Framework including Visual Studio, C#, and ASP.NET 4+ trated expertise in Microsoft ASP .NET version 4+ -Essential

 

Website layout/user interfaces by using standard HTML/CSS and Javascript practices-Essential

 

Programming languages: ASP.NET, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, C#-Essential

 

Experience with designing relational databases and optimizing database structure for performance and/or maintainability and the ability to design and optimize queries-Essential

 

Experience with Object Relational Modeling (ORM) with different tools such as Entity Framework (and/or nHibernate) and LINQ.-Essential

 

Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and current design patterns/practices-Essential

 

Understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards-Essential

 

Proven ability to develop websites that meet modern day standards; portfolio of sites worked on will be requested-Essential

 

Experience with Styling and Responsive Design techniques using technologies such as LESS, HTML5, Bootstrap, and SASS.-Desirable

 

Experience with Client-side browser development using jQuery, Knockout, or AngularJS; emphasis on Single Page Applications (SPA)-Desirable

 

Self managing and a team player

Good communication skills

Ability to work under pressure

Confident in communicating and conveying technical concepts to clients and project manager

 

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and complete BS7858 British standard screening prior to joining the company
