This position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) who oversees Information Technology (IT) aspects of the organization. This individual will spend a considerable portion of their time working with, and providing administrative support to the CIO. The qualified candidate will provide general administrative duties such as answering phones, scheduling and coordinating meetings, and organizing documents and files. This position will also support scheduling travel, meetings training, interactions with vendors, and other duties, which enhance the CIO’s effectiveness and ability to manage IT operations. Upon occasion, these duties will also be performed for other staff in IT. In addition the candidate should possess analytical skills that will assist with various projects, ongoing reporting, and internal communication as needed.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of administrative or relevant analytical experience and must be very proficient in the use of workplace technologies (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Candidates must display and possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to interact with staff and management throughout the Company in a prompt and professional manner, on a wide variety of operational, strategic, and planning-related issues. The candidate should be able to thrive in a fast pace and technical environment. In addition, the candidate must have strong initiative, a desire to learn new skills and/or processes quickly, and excellent organizational/planning skills. High standards of courtesy, performance and respect for confidentiality are essential. Additional necessary skills include the ability to handle multiple responsibilities at once and establishing priorities. An intermediate knowledge and experience in the use of various complex technology systems and proficiency with a wide range of software will be especially important. Independent judgment is required for appropriate decision making, problem solving and priority setting. Additional skill-set includes; consistently demonstrate professional, positive, and approachable attitude/demeanor and discretion, demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information, formulate and clearly communicate tasks, deadlines, and expectations to others.
