The Ideal candidate will assist the Treasury Management Sales Team and Commercial Card Product Manager by implementing and on-boarding new Commercial Card clients and providing ongoing service to the existing Commercial Card portfolio. Development of positive working client relationships with the overall goal of increasing card spend is a primary objective. The candidate will be expected to provide a superior level of service and sales support to both internal and external clients.
Work with the Commercial Card Product Manager to assist in new client on-boarding as well as training and implementation of all new Commercial Card accounts.
Serve as the primary point of contact with Commercial Services to ensure the on-boarding process is accurate and meets or exceeds expected timeliness and ensure servicing requests are consistently being handled effectively. Assist with card reordering from clients related to employee changes as needed.
Assist clients with implementation and training of advanced product features such as Expense Reporting, GL mapping, VCF (Visa Commercial Format) data delivery set up, and Flexible Billing and other billing options and also assist with establishment of auto pay.
Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of Commercial Purchasing, Automated and Virtual Payment products to be able to effectively communicate with clients and prospects.
Work with Treasury Management Sales Officers (TMSOs) and clients to identify opportunities to convert Accounts Payable expenses paid by traditional check, wire, and ACH payment to the Commercial Card program.
Work with TMSOs to coordinate the electronic Vendor Match process (matches client vendor payees to those companies already approved to accept card payments).
Manage the Bank’s report card generation and distribution process to ensure client spend goals are communicated and achieved, working with clients to provide industry best practices and supporting data.
Effectively communicate end-to-end card payment processes to clients’ accounting staff and provide ongoing support to ensure fast and efficient program ramp up. Work with TMSOs to ensure new account programs are efficiently implemented.
Periodically review the Bank’s client portfolio with TMSOs and Relationship Managers to help identify new Business and Commercial Card opportunities.
Contact vendors for Bank’s internal expenses and clients as needed to identify card-accepting vendors.
Maintain relationships with key Bank partners to stay abreast of product changes and updates that may impact client relationships.
Follow up with clients and TMSOs consistently to communicate product changes and Bank and industry updates.
Validate tracking and notification when new companies are added to the Commercial Card programs and the specific reward or rebate schedules.
Serves as a liaison with Collections to contact past due commercial clients.
Serve as an additional contact for company administrators and support the TMSOs as a strong subject matter expert for internal Bank partners.
Assist with other miscellaneous projects and issues that may arise on business card programs.
Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related area or equivalent experience required
3-5 year’s sales and client service experience.
Strong sales, communication, cross-selling, and presentation skills.
Outgoing and professional personality.
Excellent written, verbal/nonverbal and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Commercial Cards and expense management systems is strongly preferred.
Ability to travel as necessary to perform essential job responsibilities
