The BSA Quality Assurance Analyst will assist in department efforts to adhere to the legal and regulatory environment as it relates to the Bank Secrecy Act. Primary responsibilities include conducting assessments under supervision of the BSA Quality Assurance Manager. Participates in job-specific training and other bank training programs as required; ensures compliance with banking regulations and all internal policies and procedures; other duties as may be assigned.
The successful candidate will be required to interact with various levels of management and business units. The results and a recommended course of action will be presented to management for each process reviewed. Additional responsibilities may include reporting tasks and process definition/improvement projects.
Self-motivated individual who possesses the following:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Auditing or Quality Control experience required
Financial institution experience preferred. In lieu of experience, working knowledge of bank products, services, and transaction types will be considered.
Strong analytical skills required - ability to problem solve, review and analyze data, locate its source, effectively assess risk, identify root cause of issues and identify operational efficiencies
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong project management skills
Must possess a high level of initiative, inquisition and creativity
Strong work ethic, independent initiative, and interpersonal skills
Detail and quality oriented
Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers and other business units
Ability to complete assignments with little supervision and while adhering to time budget and deadlines.
Skill in negotiating issues and resolving problems
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, etc
