The position will be responsible for daily tasks necessary to support the Bank’s merchant service product suite. This includes providing in-depth servicing to MidFirst customers which include small businesses to large companies. The successful candidate will also assist with the following:
Prepare month-end reports for management
Work closely with internal and external partners to meet business objectives
Assist customers with questions and payment processing
Operations and Sales Support
Assist dispute, debit and prepaid card team as needed
College degree preferred, but not required
At least 3 years merchant services or banking experience preferred, but not required
General understanding of the financial services industry with a working knowledge of card network (Visa/MasterCard, Discover) rules and regulations
Ability to effectively draft and edit departmental procedures and make suggestions for enhancement of existing processes
Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively on the phone and through email to internal customers and business partners
Ability to provide a high degree of customer service
Strong work ethic, critical thinking, and problems solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to escalate issues and concerns appropriately
Ability to prioritize and perform specific tasks independently
Ability to use standard computer software (MS Outlook, MS Excel) and quickly learn to navigate and operate job-specific software and web-based applications
Ability to aggregate and manipulate data into reports, drawing conclusions and identifying trends that lead to business improvements
High degree of reliability
In addition, the position is expected to read, reference, interpret, and develop written departmental procedures, cross train on department tasks, make suggestions to correct or enhance existing processes, and take advantage of available opportunities to develop a deeper understanding of applicable regulations, operational compliance, and the banking industry to support career development and growth.
