Technical Analyst - Energy Banking

Position Description:
Underwriting/Transaction Processing - Evaluate oil and gas lending opportunities from both a reservoir and financial risk perspective. Coordinate third-party engineering valuation process. Contribute technical "big picture" oversight to overall credit risk assessment. Conclude technical analysis with recommended borrowing base asset value. Integrate technical analysis conclusions with borrower's financial profile and facility structure to generate and sensitize cash flow forecasts.

Price Decks/Stress Testing - Assist Senior Technical Analyst with oil and gas price decks which reflect current market conditions and MFB energy lending policy. Monitor commodity markets daily to ensure continued price deck validity. Assist Senior Analyst with quarterly asset review to monitor impact of commodity price fluctuations on collateral values.

Industry Research/Special Projects - Assist Senior Technical Analyst with maintenance of the Energy Banking site on the MidNet. Provide administrative/technical support for MFB Energy Committee. Assist credit and lending managers with special projects and research as requested.

Marketing/Bank Group Meetings - Attend marketing calls and bank group meetings as technical representative of Energy Banking. Participate in joint prospect/customer calls with lending officers. Participate in industry professional associations and annual events.


Position Requirements:
- Highly analytical and detail oriented.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize concepts and data.
- Demonstrated competency in financial modeling.
- Demonstrated competency in MS Excel/Word.
- Outstanding (written and oral) communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Prefer:
- Working knowledge of energy industry.
- Working knowledge of upstream oil/gas property technical/valuation analysis.
